Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Exhibix ("the Service"), operated by Exhibix ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Exhibix is a browser-based document preparation tool for legal professionals. The Service includes exhibit numbering, Bates stamping, exhibit sticker placement, document redaction, and exhibit list generation. All document processing occurs in your browser — files are not uploaded to our servers.

3. Accounts and Registration

You may use limited features without an account. To access full features, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Free and Paid Plans

The free plan allows processing of up to 5 documents per session with all features. Paid plans provide unlimited document processing and additional features such as team management. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period.

5. Free Trial

Paid plans include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged for the first billing period.

6. Client-Side Processing

Exhibix processes documents entirely within your web browser. Your files, their contents, and any work product (stamped documents, exhibit lists, redacted pages) are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. We do not have access to your documents. You are solely responsible for saving and backing up your work.

7. Data We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate the Service: your name, email address, and billing information (processed by Stripe). We use cookies for authentication (via Clerk) and analytics (via Google Analytics). See our Privacy Policy for details.

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Exhibix and protected by copyright and trademark law. Your documents and work product remain your property. We claim no ownership of any content you process using the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. You use the Service at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Exhibix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Exhibix from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or notice within the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and ceasing use of the Service.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Palm Beach County, Florida.
